Energy performance survey The Energy Performance survey is a detailed visual inspection of a property which includes all floors, roof spaces and cellars. In order for the inspection to be carried out effectively it has to be thorough, but it is non-invasive.

The visit is usually completed within one hour and will include the following:
      • A walk around the outside of the property
      • A look at adjoining properties
      • Drawing a plan of the internal layout
      • Detailed measurements of all rooms
      • A check on loft insulation
      • Record manufacturer and model details of boiler
      • Record specification of water cylinder and immersion heaters
      • Record Gas and Electricity meter types

During the visit it will be necessary for the Assessor to take a number of photographs.
